Rumor: Upcoming Motorola X Smartphone to Feature Aptina Clarity+ Technology

Mobilebloom, Phonearena and few other sites spread rumors that the upcoming Motorola X flagship smartphone will be using Aptina Clarity+ sensor. The new phone is expected to be announced on August 1st. The rumors apparently originate from 2-weeks old post by Android and Me site saying that Moto X will have a camera with "Clear Pixels".

  1. Fortunately, it seems we won't have to wait long to see the quality of this new sensor.

  2. Isn't the MotoX camera is 10MP? If so, then it is not Aptina since Aptina announced a 13MP camera.

I am wondering if it is an Omnivision CP.

  3. MotoX uses OV's 10Mp RGBC which is deeply flawed compared to ClarityPlus.
